Synopsys's Circuit Simulation Group is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to work on our transistor level EDA tools. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global team developing software to ensure robustness and integrity of cutting edge integrated circuits.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging transistor level EDA software programs. You will work on developing software tools to interact with analog design tools, operating systems, networks, utilities, databases and internet-related tools, etc. Experience on development of complex software projects, familiarity with C/C++ coding and Python, and a sound background in data structures and implementation. Has sound desire to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Work is independent and collaborative with team in nature. Apply analytic skill in circuit design analysis, exercises independent judgment in identifying issues and root cause, and selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Familiar with software development process and software quality tools are required.

Requirements
  • Educational Qualification: BTech/MTech/MS in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of experience working on complex software, Sound programming skills in C/C++, and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, and Linux shell.
  • Knowledge and experience with distributed processing
  • Sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge or working experience in circuit simulation and device modeling, or other related EDA areas is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of global team, collaborating tightly with peers across multiple locations and groups.
  • Willing to learn and explore new technologies and skills
  • Proven communication skills, oral and writing
