Job Overview
The Pattern Analytics Architect is responsible for developing innovative computational solutions for Physical Design and Mask Layout analysis and verification, from algorithmic discovery and optimization, all the way to system definition and product implementation.
Working with an agile team of developers, the role includes both technical system-level problem solving, and development activities coordination and prioritization.
The two fundamental metrics of success for this role consist of a unique blend of EDA innovation and technical leadership, creating and bringing to market novel products for leading-edge semiconductor design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with developers and other architects to propose, specify and validate novel computational systems
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams of developers across the productization cycle
- Establish regular interactions with Product Engineering and Marketing organizations to ensure product success
- Proactively contribute to the definition of an innovation strategy and roadmap for Pattern Analytics
- Support Generative-AI solutions deployment in Physical Design and Semiconductor Manufacturing flows
Qualifications
- Ph.D. (with 3-5 years’ industry experience), or MS (with 7-9 years' experience) in EE or CS or related fields with strong computational and numerical analysis concentration or specialization.
- Substantial experience (in a senior role) in Electronic Design Automation, and/or VLSI Physical Design Verification, and/or Mask Data Generation.
- Specific skills in semiconductor design and manufacturing:
- Physical design, place and route
- DRC checks, DFM checks, Pattern Matching checks, Printability checks
- Physical design ECOs, layout fixing and automation
- Practical Machine Learning and Data Science (including statistical analysis and modeling)
- Experience in image and signal processing required that is demonstrated by relevant work or project
