You Are:
The ideal candidate will create the team and drive Synopsys ICV overall DRC (Design Rule Checking) Product Strategies for Established Process Nodes. In this role you will develop and manage a team of experienced technical product managers and associated staff to drive adoption of Synopsys ICV DRC solutions into the rapidly evolving established process node ecosystem due to the rapidly expanding 3D and Chiplet market. You will be the first Synopsys ICV product that engages established node ecosystem, including Foundries, Fabless Companies, and IP companies so that Synopsys DRC has a complete understanding as to what needs to be incorporated into product roadmaps to support our mutual customers develop more complex designs quicker, using older process nodes. You should be able to create a team that not only can define product requirements for established DRC node needs in concert with the various Product Managers, but also efficiently support the ecosystem via ICV DRC PDK’s (Process Design Kits) including using latest AI technics to efficiently develop and QA the multitude of derivative PDK’s the evolution of the semiconductor ecosystem is now asking for with limited skilled teams to do the development. You have the ability to influence at high levels, to work with the PMG Executive Directors to help expand the Synopsys relationships with key established node industry leaders to continuously move our DRC initiatives forward. You are highly motivated, with a passion for innovation and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, product management and sales teams to ensure alignment to initiatives. You are comfortable working as an individual contributor on some special projects in addition to leading the Established Nodes ICV DRC Product team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support the creation and execution of the strategies for Synopsys ICV established process node designs that aligns with overall Synopsys ICV broader business objectives.
Establish and manage a team that develops the requirements and technical collateral needed by the established nodes to design more complex designs faster using Synopsys ICV DRC offerings. This includes the creation of an effective DRC PDK development team for established process nodes. Be the established node ICV DRC visionary of this new organization within Synopsys EDA Product Management as it is grows in response to the market you will be defining.
Work closely with Synopsys ICV product management, R&D and sales teams to align ICV DRC established node needs with Synopsys product development and go-to-market strategies.
Work with Ecosystem Team, Product Management, Sales and R&D to align and schedule DRC PDK’s across the ecosystem so all solutions can support all derivative versions of ICV DRC for established process nodes.
Drive collaborative DRC initiatives with partners that lead to innovative solutions that are unique to Synopsys ICV DRC product.
The Impact You Will Have:
Accelerate Synopsys’ ICV DRC strategic positioning in the 3D and Chiplet established node market via identification and development of competitive differentiation.
Strengthen Synopsys’ influence and thought leadership within the EDA and semiconductor ecosystem through compelling presentations and industry engagement as how established node ICV DRC solutions fit into the new 3D/Chiplet market.
Build and maintain trust-based relationships within Synopsys EDA to facilitate collaboration and proactive management of established process node solutions.
Assist Sales to navigate complex partnership discussions and agreements required to support ICV DRC across the entire established node ecosystem, balancing Synopsys’ needs with mutually beneficial outcomes for the market.
What You’ll Need:
20+ years of relevant EDA/semiconductor product management and marketing experience.
BS/MS, in Electrical Engineering and or Device Physics required. PhD or MBA in your field desired.
Deep understanding of Semiconductor ecosystem, and expertise with Foundry, EDA PDK development and associated relationships for DRC functions and Rules.
Proven ability to work with senior management to create a product management team that can support Synopsys product teams and customers worldwide.
Be a known commodity within the semiconductor ecosystem with key companies’ relationships within the established process nodes.
Ability to influence manage within Product Management Group and all other organizations within Synopsys EDA .
Exceptional ability to drive and achieve results by yourself and others under time pressure.
Excellent presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills.
The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
You will be working with senior management to create a dynamic team focused on greatly expanding Synopsys’ DRC product offerings and market positioning in the established node design environment. This team will work closely with Line of Business (LoB) product management, sales, and R&D to align DRC established node ecosystem offerings with Synopsys’ ICV overall strategic goals. As a key component of the overall Synopsys EDA Product Management Group, this team will identify and cultivate new opportunities, drive collaborative initiatives, and promote joint marketing programs to deliver DRC solutions to the semiconductor market that mutual established node customers need as the world moves into multiple ways to design their offerings. It is no longer just “let’s go to the next process node” but a “how do we best design this” world.
