You Are:
You are an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Specialist with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to risk management. With experience in OHS or emergency management, you have honed your skills in conducting workplace risk assessments, developing health and safety training programs, and managing health and safety management systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Serve as the Health and Safety Specialist for Gdansk, Poland, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements and corporate health and safety program requirements.
- Lead a proactive risk management program by conducting workplace risk/exposure assessments for various classes of hazards, job functions, and environments (office & labs), documenting findings in the corporate audit program system.
- Implement a health and safety management system using corporate reporting and auditing tools, recordkeeping, and data management compliant with ISO 45001 standards.
- Build productive internal working relationships with Synopsys leaders to understand and support their business needs, collaborating with partners such as Human Resources, Facilities, IT, and Legal.
- Develop a health and safety training curriculum and conduct annual training classes for employees and emergency responders, managing curriculum and certifications in the learning management systems.
- Conduct incident investigations, provide root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and maintain recordkeeping in corporate record-keeping systems.

- Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting and investigation, leading to continuous improvement in workplace safety.
- Support business operations by collaborating with various internal teams to address health and safety needs.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (OHS senior inspector).
- 2-5+ years of experience in OHS, emergency management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications preferred (ASP, CSP, or CIH).
- Experience working in a global environment with regional responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety management systems, SharePoint, and information technology.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
