We are looking for an implementation engineer to join our Solutions Technology team. You will be part of the team that defines the strategy for our advanced platforms solutions and at the center of collaborations and partnerships with several groups in Synopsys to leverage synergies across EDA, IPs, System Solutions and other functions. We are seeking a back-end implementation engineer with expertise in logic synthesis, physical design, signoff, timing closure, formal verification, and physical verification. Knowledge in functional safety and RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) is preferred. The engineer will work globally with internal product development teams, solution engineers, and external customers to ensure that functional safety implementation and RAS solutions are robust and deployable on production designs.

Responsibilities
  • The Functional Safety & RAS Implementation Solution Engineer is responsible for:
  • Conducting technical assessment of functional safety and RAS solutions.
  • Working with Synopsys' customers to understand their implementation requirements for functional safety.
  • Defining technical requirement specifications needed to make the solution complete, robust and/or competitive.
  • Collaborating with Technical Marketing Engineers to prioritize enhancements for product teams.
  • Collaborating with internal product development teams to ensure that enhancements meet original requirements.
  • Collaborate with product validation engineers to ensure that enhancements are validated and delivered with high quality to customers.
  • Work with Field Application Engineers to deploy functional safety solutions.
  • Deliver collaterals such as training, reference methodology, and application notes to share best practices and recommended usage.
Key Qualifications & Experience
  • Typically requires BSEE or MSEE with ideally 10 years of experience in SoC back-end design, including expert user of EDA tools for implementation, physical verification, formal verification and signoff.
  • 3- 5 years of experience in functional safety domain is preferred, including knowledge in functional safety mechanisms deployed on IPs or SoC designs to detect and prevent failures.
  • Experience using ISO26262 products developed for semiconductors in automotive domain is preferred.
  • Have strong motivation to improve semiconductor functional safety.
  • Functional safety certification (ISO26262) is desired.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Unix/Linux user knowledge and scripting skills (Python, Tcl, Shell) are required.
