Job Description
You Are:
As a Prototyping Applications Engineer, you are a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Simulation, Emulation, Prototyping, or ASIC design and verification. Your ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems is unparalleled, and you thrive in environments where you can help customers achieve their verification goals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Analyzing customers' current verification methodologies and deploying Emulation and/or Prototyping solutions involving in-circuit and transaction level acceleration.
- Leading and driving the technical Synopsys HAPS engagement, services, or evaluations.
- Providing end-to-end ownership of key accounts/projects, ensuring successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Working closely with customers to demonstrate the differentiated prototyping environment and influence their decision for HAPS adoption.
- Interfacing with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to address technical challenges and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Creating FPGA-friendly interfaces, adopting testbench environments, and prototyping SoC environments with debug capabilities.

- Owning key engagements and serving as the primary technical contact for specific accounts or projects.
- Driving the adoption of Synopsys' HAPS solutions, enhancing customers' verification processes and outcomes.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of Synopsys' prototyping solutions through close interaction with various teams.
- Helping customers achieve their emulation verification goals, thereby increasing their overall productivity and success.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent technical support and problem-solving skills.
- Influencing the future direction of Synopsys' prototyping solutions through customer feedback and industry insights.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Simulation, Emulation, Prototyping, or ASIC design/verification using SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL.
- Knowledge of HAPS and ProtoCompiler is desired.
- Good understanding of SoC design methodologies and technologies, with experience in the complete design validation cycle.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with RTL synthesis, mapping RTL to Xilinx FPGA-based platforms, and scripting in Unix/Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of C/C++/SystemC is a plus.
- Knowledge of key protocols like PCIe, USB, Ethernet, AMBA, UART, SATA/SAS, DDR, flash memories and their usage in SoC environments is a plus.
- Direct experience in SoC design porting on emulators and/or prototyping solutions is highly preferred.
