Job Description

Category Engineering Hire Type Employee Job ID 10884 Base Salary Range $120000-$180000 Remote Eligible No Date Posted 05/05/2025

You Are:

You are a highly skilled and innovative engineer with a passion for solving complex problems in the realm of software development and hardware design. You bring a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) space. Your expertise in developing and testing large-scale C++ applications is complemented by your ability to design efficient algorithms and data structures.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, leveraging your deep understanding of digital logic design, FPGA architecture, and hardware description languages to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Your experience in building commercial EDA tools, particularly for emulation, hardware prototyping, simulation, or formal verification, sets you apart. You are a natural leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of driving innovation while operating within a culture of excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and developing cutting-edge technologies to optimize the performance of the fastest emulation systems in the world (viz., ZeBu)
  • Enhancing the throughput of the ZeBu compiler by leveraging your expertise in combinatorial algorithms, physical design, and timing analysis.
  • Collaborating with a global team to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions for large-scale software development challenges.
  • Developing and testing large C++ applications in Unix-based environments to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Applying your knowledge of static timing analysis, physical synthesis, and partitioning to improve the efficiency of ZeBu emulation systems.
  • Contributing to the development of FPGA-based hardware prototyping systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and capacity.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Revolutionizing the performance, throughput, and capacity of the ZeBu family of emulators, which support SoC designs as large as 50 billion gates (and growing!), enabling customers to achieve their design goals more effectively.
  • Driving innovation in the EDA industry by delivering technologies that enable faster and more efficient hardware validation.
  • Contributing to the development of industry-leading tools that power the next generation of semiconductor designs and AI applications.
  • Collaborating with a global team to push the boundaries of what’s possible in hardware and software design.
  • Empowering customers to bring their innovative products to market faster and with greater confidence.

What You’ll Need:

  • MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and testing large C++ applications in Unix-based environments.
  • Proficiency in designing efficient algorithms and data structures.
  • Deep understanding of digital logic design, FPGA architecture, and hardware description languages.
  • Proven track record of building commercial EDA tools, preferably for emulation, hardware prototyping, simulation, formal verification, static timing analysis, or physical synthesis.

Who You Are:

  • A collaborative team player with highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A problem-solver who thrives in tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions.
  • A detail-oriented engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, impactful results.
  • A lifelong learner who stays updated on the latest advancements in software and hardware technologies.
  • A proactive communicator who excels in both written and verbal communication.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You’ll join an elite global team dedicated to designing and developing the technologies that power the performance and capacity of the ZeBu compiler. The ZeBu family of emulators is at the forefront of the EDA industry, supporting SoC designs as large as 50 billion gates. Your team’s core focus is to optimize the compilation process, ensuring the highest possible hardware throughput for testbenches used in design validation. Together, you’ll push the boundaries of what’s possible in emulation and hardware prototyping.
