The Team You'll Be Part Of:
IT Platform team at Synopsys is at the forefront of providing a top-tier EDA design environment for HPC workloads. As we undergo rapid expansion, we are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to catalyze our transformation. We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Linux/HPC and Ansible.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to enhance the HPC environment.
  • Lead efforts in maintaining and troubleshooting complex performance issues in the HPC environment.
  • Communicate and provide Root Cause Analysis to internal customers.
  • Mentor team members in change management and automation best practices.
  • Implement automation, APIs, and monitoring for observability.
What You'll Need:
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux variants like RHEL/Ubuntu.
  • Expertise in HPC components like NFS/Shared File systems and Grid Schedulers (IBM spectrum LSF / Univa Grid / SLURM).
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks like Ansible.
  • Extensive knowledge of x86 server hardware platforms, including benchmarking and tuning for HPC.
  • Familiarity with ARM/IBM power/ Apple platform is an asset
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms like OpenStack / VmWare
Qualifications:
  • RedHat Certified Architect (RHCA) or equivalent.
  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

The annual range across the U.S. for this role is between $118,000-178,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
