We’re looking for a Applications Engineer to drive the success of Synopsys StarRC/Quickcap product at top-tier foundry and key customers
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Work with foundry and key fabless customers to resolve their tool questions, accuracy issue and enable new solution
- Involve developing foundry RC technology new feature and validation methodology, working closely with R&D to develop methodologies to solve customer problems and to improve Synopsys tools and flows
- Work with product-level R&D to drive new and improved technologies, methodologies, and tool capabilities, and share and align on best practices.
- Coordinate with and develop solid relationships with product R&D, AE, end-user, and product manager
Key Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science with knowledge of VLSI and device component or similar.
- Good scripting/programming skills are required, with a preference for shell scripting like Python, Csh, TCL, Perl
- Experience of EDA tool products in any of the areas of Layout editor/viewer(Fusion compiler, ICV workbench), LVS (Layout Versus Schematic), APR tool, parasitic RC extraction or circuit simulation flow is preferred
- Understanding of CCI and ICV extraction flow, LEFDEF/NDM extraction flow, 3DIC structure and layout structure for each type of devices would be a plus.
- 3D field solver, Inductance extraction, process effect, design electrical analysis, random work algorithm, AI algorithm relevant experience is a big plus
- Passion to learn, working under high pressure and action aggressive with high efficiency, explore new technologies and demonstrate good investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to produce adequate technical documentation
- Exceptional communication, good command of English, and people skill are required
