You Are:
You are a motivated and passionate R&D Engineer with a strong foundation in software development and a keen interest in library modeling solutions for advanced process nodes. You possess a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience and hold a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Your expertise in C and C++ programming, combined with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, enables you to tackle complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, working closely with colleagues from various roles in the development process. Your excellent communication skills in English allow you to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with different R&D teams and foundries. You have a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies, coupled with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience in CAD tool development, Static Timing Analysis, logic synthesis, and/or automatic place and route is a plus. Familiarity with Library Compiler and Liberty modeling language, as well as experience in advanced technology nodes, will give you a competitive edge in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and developing library modeling solutions for advanced process nodes.
- Troubleshooting and debugging software programs to ensure optimal performance.
- Optimizing runtime and memory usage for enhanced efficiency.
- Exercising judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
- Contributing to moderately complex aspects of projects, ensuring successful deployment of advanced Library Compiler infrastructure.
- Collaborating with different R&D teams and foundries to solve customer problems and improve Synopsys tools.

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience in software development.
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming, with a strong background in data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of library modeling and prior experience in CAD tool development is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and explore new technologies.
- Good English communication skills.

You will be part of the Platform Library R&D team, a group of talented engineers dedicated to developing and supporting library modeling solutions for advanced process nodes. This team plays a crucial role in enabling Synopsys Digital Design Family customer success by ensuring the successful deployment of advanced Library Compiler infrastructure and optimized library modeling solutions. You will collaborate with internal engineers and foundries to develop innovative algorithms and methodologies, solving customer problems and improving Synopsys tools.
