You Are:
You are a highly skilled and experienced Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer with a passion for technology and innovation. With a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experience, you possess strong physical design and place and route expertise. You are well-versed with IC Compiler II, Fusion Compiler, or competitive EDA tools. Your knowledge of advanced placement and routing rules, coupled with proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl, sets you apart. You have a solid understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI, and CAD engineering. Your strong communication skills, command of English, and ability to work well with others make you a valuable team player who can provide exceptional technical support and drive product direction.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing technical support to major customers and field engineers.
- Writing and reviewing methodology specs with a focus on design flow, functional specs, and test plans.
- Developing and delivering product training.
- Writing technical papers and application notes.
- Maintaining regular and proactive communication with R&D and field application engineers.
- Acting as a technical expert and responding to situations where first-line product support has failed.
- Driving existing product direction and suggesting new product directions.

What You’ll Need:
- BS/MS with 5-8 years of experience in physical design and place and route.
- Familiarity with IC Compiler II, Fusion Compiler, or competitive EDA tools.
- Knowledge of advanced placement and routing rules.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl.
- Strong understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI, and CAD engineering.
