Senior Software Developer for atomic-scale simulations GUI
Synopsys is seeking a software specialist with strong experience in user interface development for the QuantumATK atomic-scale simulation platform.
The QuantumATK group is a team of world leading experts in atomic-scale simulations who are developing the QuantumATK software and the Nanolab GUI.
Job:
Your job will be to develop the QuantumATK platform and the NanoLab GUI. Your role will be to build state-of-the-art user interfaces that makes it straight-forward for engineers to perform atomic-scale simulations, like setting up plane wave calculations, training machine-learned force fields or simulating molecular dynamics.
You must have a background in scientific computing and several years’ experience building complex and powerful user interfaces for scientific applications. Ideally this includes experience with full-stack web development, UI frameworks like React or Vue, and web backend development and server-client based applications.
The platform team is spread between Hyderabad (India) and Denmark (Europe), and therefore it is very important for you to be a quick learner, self-driven, innovative and easy to work with.
We are looking for outstanding individual that:
- Has at least a master’s in science, computer science or related fields and has proven experience developing user interfaces for scientific software applications.
- Has a strong scientific background with clear relevance to atomic scale modelling.
- Proven experience with development of complex and powerful user interfaces for scientific applications.
Requirements:
- Excellent programming skills, and broad programming experience. Primarily Python and C++ but for this role it is an advantage to have experience with web technologies.
- 10+ years of industry experience in similar domain
- Great written and oral communication skills in English.
