And get differentiated products to market quickly with reduced risk.  As an Applications Engineer, you are the customer’s advocate responsible for providing technical support for Logic Library products from the Synopsys DesignWare Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Provide direct technical support on Synopsys Designware Logic Libraries to our customers – address queries, provide suitable solution for issues reported and manage customer escalations.
  • Work with engineering staff, marketing & other Synopsys Applications Engineers to ensure a timely response to customers.
  • Assist during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of Synopsys Designware Logic Libraries.
  • Ensures that customer’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification
  • Interface directly with SolvNet and the Engineering Database to document and track a resolution to customer issues.
  • Write and maintain application notes, FAQ's, training materials, and other support material, providing customers easy access to application information.
  • Coach other members of the team & provide feedback to product & engineering teams for continued product improvements.
Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience in either standard cell circuit design or library characterization background.

Possesses a good understanding of ASIC design flow & methodology, with emphasis on backend physical design process. Knowledge of the front-end design process or experience with Timing signoff, Synthesis, Extraction, and LVS/DRC are a plus. Prior experience with post silicon debug and validation are also nice to have.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $173,000-$259,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
