We’re looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our Europe team, responsible for supporting industry-leading chip implementation products and solutions.

The primary focus of the Applications Engineer (AE) is to drive adoption or increase usage of our cutting-edge Synthesis and Place & Route products, augmented by AI companion tools. You achieve this by collaborating with R&D and the Sales team in a dynamic, innovative environment. Tasks include conducting competitive benchmarks and articulating the superiority of our products and solutions during evaluations. In addition, you deliver customer training, tape-out support services, and influence initiatives for product enhancements and chip development flows. The position involves working closely with users/customers and multiple organizations such as R&D, marketing, and sales.

You will play a critical role in our organization, enabling the success of our customers in designing extremely complex chips on the latest semiconductor technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Use your in-depth chip implementation, methodology and flow knowledge to provide technical support and expert services for our top customers.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on customer designs.
  • Work with our R&D team to help develop and implement technical roadmaps, specifications, and validation of improvements and enhancements.
  • Partner with our sales team to identify business opportunities to initiate or expand our market share in customer accounts.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Typically requires BSEE or equivalent with 10+ years of experience, or MSEE, or equivalent with 8+ years of deep experience in Synthesis and Physical Implementation (RTL to GDS) methodologies, flows and tools.
  • Proficiency in Synopsys implementation tools is an advantage (Fusion Compiler, DSO.ai).
  • Experience in unsupervised debugging and resolving Synthesis and P&R implementation challenges.
  • Solid understanding of Static Timing Analysis (STA).
  • Experience with advanced technology nodes preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for world-class customer service.
  • Proficiency in scripting (TCL / UNIX / Python)
