You Are:
You are a highly experienced and passionate Embedded Security Engineer with a proven track record in hardware security. With over 15 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of hardware security threats, risk assessment, threat modeling, and risk mitigation. You are well-versed in security-related standards such as ISO 21434, ISO 20243, ISO 19790, and FIPS 140-3, and you bring a strong background in semiconductor IP products and related development flows. Your ability to guide diverse groups, including remote members across different time zones, sets you apart as a leader in your field.
You thrive in dynamic environments where you can take a leadership role in performing Security Risk Assessments, driving the adoption of the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), and ensuring conformance to security and quality requirements. Your expertise in defining and developing workflows, scripts, and security enhancement initiatives, as well as your ability to contribute to security communications and training, makes you an invaluable asset to any team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform and review Security Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling of digital, analog, mixed-signal, embedded firmware, and embedded software IP products.
- Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the IP Security Development Lifecycle.
- Define, promote, and track the implementation of new IP Security initiatives.
- Participate in Security Validation Testing and ensure high standards of security are maintained.
- Develop and present internal training materials to enhance the team's security knowledge.
- Guide internal development teams and work with external customers to ensure compliance with security and quality requirements.

- Enhance the security posture of Synopsys' semiconductor IP products through rigorous risk assessments and threat modeling.
- Drive the adoption of the Security Development Lifecycle, ensuring robust security practices are integrated into the development process.
- Lead the implementation of new security initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of security measures.
- Ensure high-quality security validation testing, safeguarding the integrity of our IP products.
- Empower internal teams with the knowledge and tools needed to maintain high security standards.
- Build strong relationships with external customers, ensuring their security requirements are met and exceeded.
What You’ll Need:
- University degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 15+ years of hardware security-related experience.
- Deep understanding of hardware security threats, risk assessment, threat modeling, and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge of security-related standards such as ISO 21434, ISO 20243, ISO 19790, and FIPS 140-3.
- Experience with semiconductor IP products and related development flows.
- Ability to obtain security clearance is highly desirable.

You will be part of the IP Security Risk Management Team at Synopsys, a group dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of our semiconductor IP products. This team works closely with internal development teams and external customers to drive the adoption of security best practices and to maintain high standards of security across all products. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the security landscape of Synopsys' offerings.
