At this level, a postgraduate degree or equivalent is expected.
  • Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company.
  • Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
  • Makes final outcomes on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of priorities.
  • Develops strategic policies and energetically helps in setting organizational road-map.
  • Advises senior management on specialized technical or business issues.
  • In a leadership role, regularly interacts with executives and/or key customers on extremely difficult matters.
  • Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with key customers or management or influencing senior level managers regarding matters of significance to the organization.
