We are looking for a successful candidate to join our team in the Digital Technology Group (DTG) Business Unit with a strong background in Design Methodology with emphasis on Synthesis, Formal Verification and Digital Design for PPA
This role calls for an experienced and highly skilled architect level knowledge that understands how to analyze EDA tool and flow problems and works with key customers as well as cutting edge industry partners to define and propose novel solutions.
The Product Engineering (PE) will work dynamically with R&D and Field-support to drive development as well as deployment of implementation products.
Description:
. Should effectively translate the findings into requirements to improve tool behavior through projects and enhancements as a long-term solution.
. Is expected to provide technical expertise in identifying the design and/or tool issues and provide appropriate solution for customer to move forward in reasonable time.
. Be involved in rapid deployment of new technologies at an engineering level and to enable customers to migrate smoothly to new technologies with minimum loss in design quality.
. Leverages strong technical background to influence product definition and direction of R&D by providing feedback regarding customer challenges and tool experiences.
. Related duties involve developing functional specifications for new features, qualifying new enhancements for production, creating and delivering training materials, tool benchmarks/evaluation.
. The individual interacts with customers, translates their design needs and feedback to define the product roadmap. The individual is responsible for creating user enhancement requirement specifications for driving development in the products and also develop methodology/ usage roll out and support collaterals .
. Drives proactive technical support, primarily to internal customers (Field Application engineering team) as well as to Synopsys' external customers on occasion, during product evaluation, deployments as well as post-sales activities.
. Individual works in close collaboration across cross functional and cross product global teams on a regular basis to ensure alignment and completeness of the full flow design methodology.

Qualifications:
- Must have completed BS with relevant experience in Design Implementation with 15+ years.
- Experience in logic design and synthesis and deep understanding of digital design and formal verification concepts, timing closure for block level and top level designs, Low power and Physical design concepts and quality of results analysis is fundamental for success
- Good knowledge of digital electronics concepts and familiarity with ASIC design flow, and/or VLSI design methodologies.
- Experienced in RTL Coding, Formal Verification, Optimization, and Physical Synthesis is required
- Hands on experience working on Advanced nodes eg. 7nm & below.
- Experience with Synopsys toolsFusion Compiler, Design Compiler is preferred but not mandatory
- Person must be proficient in tcl, Python & Unix.
- The individual must be self-motivated and dedicated with strong debug skills.
- Excellent communication skills including ability to interface with customers and business unit personnel are essential.
