The Infrastructure team supports and manages more than 250k CPU's worldwide that are used by over 5000 engineers. Our compute farm enables large scale runs of critical applications and simulations. Our goal is to provide reliable, scalable and automated infrastructure that enables our engineering teams to develop, test and debug quality IP.

The intern will have opportunity to work on the following projects:

  • Optimizing LSF Data Storage and Retrieval: Dive into the challenge of enhancing the speed and efficiency of storing and retrieving LSF data. Your contributions will directly impact our operational effectiveness.

  • Enhancing CAD Infrastructure Software Workflows: Collaborate with our team to streamline software development workflows tailored specifically for CAD infrastructure.

  • Introduction to Elasticsearch: Learn the powerful tool for data indexing and search. Gain hands-on experience with its data pipelines and archival flow processes, exploring its potential applications and learning best practices.


Your work will directly contribute to real-world projects that drive innovation and shape the future of our organization. You will explore new technologies, hone your skills, and expand your knowledge under the guidance of experienced mentors.

As an intern, you'll learn about batch schedulers like LSF, code in Python, develop UNIX/Linux knowledge, and explore tools like Perforce, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and MySQL. Dive into developing automation scripts, and leveraging powerful analytics tools to gain insights from data. Visualize system performance with Grafana and ensure seamless data management with MySQL. This internship offers a unique opportunity to expand your skills and make impactful contributions to innovative projects in compute farm management.

Minimum requirement: Candidates must be at least third-year students majoring in electrical engineering or computer science.
