The Principle Technical Product Manager is a key member of our team engaging and working with lead customers and Synopsys application engineers, R&D, services and product managers to ensure the successful deployment of our solutions as part of our customers workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Customer-centric role working across our virtual prototyping and testing products to develop comprehensive solutions in the context of the workflows at our automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers.
  • Interact with customers and industry partners, in partnership with Application Engineers, to assess customer flows, identify gaps and opportunities for new use-cases, gather requirements and propose solutions.
  • Leverage technical knowledge of Synopsys products and tools, to define and create differentiated solutions that meet customer requirements and specifications, and to determine feasibility to expand into new and existing use-cases.
  • Be involved in the definition and coordination of strategic services projects to enable and accelerate customer adoption and improving their quality of results.
  • Analyze gathered data, identify the viability of technologies and present findings to customers, as well as back to product management teams for future product enhancements and features.
  • Create customer facing material to facilitate adoption of virtual prototyping for new use cases and train broader application engineering teams.
  • Work with corporate teams, business development and senior executives in the business unit to strengthen key customer relationships through clear articulation of technical value propositions and technical roadmaps.
  • Work across Synopsys business units to leverage the full breadth of Synopsys technologies to increase customer value.
  • Success in this position will be measured by the increased deployment of Synopsys automotive virtual prototyping and testing products at our OEM and Tier 1 customers.

Key Qualifications & Experience
  • MS or BS focused on system design/Electronics/SW
  • Deep technical background in virtual prototyping technologies and overall technologies required for software development and testing of automotive electronic systems.
  • Typically requires 7-10 years’ experience at an Automotive OEM or Tier1 companies.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with lead/strategic customers externally and application engineering internally.
  • Listening skills to capture customer challenges into relevant solutions.
  • Strong communication skill to translate customer challenges into relevant solutions, drive convincing customer conversations and seek Synopsys internal alignment.
  • Experience in creating technical collateral.
  • Leadership skills - Innovative, energetic, decisive style with attentiveness to current and future customer and market trends, business acumen.
