What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leads the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, including technical discovery, negotiation of technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations. Works independently, results-oriented, across teams and organizations.
  • Acts as a credible hands-on expert in the customer's application, working with customers to understand their product development requirements and identify opportunities to improve performance metrics. Addresses application-specific design and simulation requirements by utilizing the relevant product technologies and platforms that best meet the customer's needs. Internalizes our value proposition and communicates compelling reasons for customers to use our tools.
  • Supports the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the platform and our products; implements our solutions into customers' design workflows. Expands expertise and becomes a recognized expert in the field of application.
  • Collaborates with Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participates in testing of new Ansys product releases and develops application best practices.
  • Supports the Field and Digital Marketing teams by developing promotional materials, supporting events, and authoring conference presentations.
  • Contributes to and leads professional service deliveries and conducts training classes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace or related field
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Fluent or other commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software packages
  • Strong fundamentals and experience in modeling turbulence, multiphase flows, mass & heat transfer phenomena
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering practices and product development, experience with building solutions using simulation technology and deploying those solutions within customers’ engineering workflows.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time
