What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of R&D initiatives focused on methodology and automation improvements.
  • Managing and developing a high-performing team of engineers, setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and supporting career development.
  • Partnering with cross‑functional groups—R&D, product, applications—to define and deploy advanced engineering methodologies and processes.
  • Driving adoption of automation, AI/ML‑based solutions, and modern toolchains to accelerate development cycles and reduce manual effort.
  • Identifying workflow bottlenecks and leading continuous process optimization and standardization across teams
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with EDA and product engineering teams to ensure alignment with technology and design requirements
  • Championing knowledge sharing, documentation, and global adoption of successful methodologies and best practices.
  • Managing project resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

  • Accelerating Synopsys customers’ time-to-market through robust, scalable engineering solutions.
  • Enhancing the quality, reliability, and consistency of methodologies and toolchains across multiple projects and technology nodes.
  • Influencing the strategic direction of Synopsys’ R&D and shaping the roadmap for automation and methodology initiatives.
  • Growing and empowering engineering teams through effective leadership, training, and ongoing support.
  • Strengthening collaboration between R&D, product, application engineers, and customers through standardized practices and effective communication.
  • Driving operational efficiency and reducing overhead through data-driven management and process automation.


What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in EDA methodology, CAD automation, or semiconductor process development (analog, mixed-signal, or digital domains).
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex engineering projects on time and within budget in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor).
  • Experience driving process improvements and leading the adoption of new tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.


Who You’ll Work With:
You’ll lead the Mixed Signal IP 
Automation Team—an innovative group dedicated to developing and advancing full custom analog and ASIC layout methodologies for high-speed integrated circuits. As a manager, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, CAD experts, and stakeholders across Synopsys to deliver world-class solutions for the semiconductor industry.
