You Are:

You are an innovative and forward-thinking Design for Test (DFT) Engineer eager to be a part of the Fast Solution Team under the Test Group at Synopsys. With a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving, you thrive in dynamic environments and relish the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects. Your extensive experience in RTL coding, Scan/Mbist insertion, and Silicon Bring up, combined with your expertise in handling DFT for complex SoCs, makes you a valuable asset to any team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with end-users and managers alike set you apart. You are driven by the desire to help customers succeed and are constantly seeking to exploit new technologies. Your background in Electrical or Computer Engineering, combined with a decade of relevant experience, has equipped you with the skills necessary to excel in this role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing expertise for test solutions during design planning, budgeting, and implementation phases.
  • Conducting test methodology design rules checking during RTL coding stages.
  • Implementing and validating DFT solutions such as scan compression, core wrapping, logic & memory Built-In Self-Test (BIST), and test points.
  • Generating Automatic Test Patterns (ATPG) and validating advanced fault models including transition delay, cell-aware, and bridging.
  • Participating in customer’s design and flow reviews to ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Performing diagnostics analysis and debugging to resolve technical issues.
  • Driving, prototyping, and developing new Design for Test methodologies.
  • Multitasking across various issues and priorities to ensure customer success.

  • Contributing to the development and productization of next-generation test technologies.
  • Influencing the design and implementation of cutting-edge methodologies within the Test Group.
  • Helping win new customers through effective product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Playing a pivotal role in the silicon bring-up process, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS + 10 years of relevant experience or MS + 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in RTL coding, Scan/Mbist insertion, validation, pattern generation, and silicon bring-up.
  • Expertise in handling DFT for large, complex SoCs with various IPs.
  • Strong understanding of ATPG, MBIST, i1500, 1687, and LBIST methodologies.
  • Excellent soft skills, including effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
