What You’ll Be Doing:
- Serving as technical lead and project manager for complex projects, applying Synopsys products, engineering services, and laboratory testing to meet customer and internal objectives.
- Scoping cost, schedule, and technical objectives, and leading technical discussions for strategic and enterprise customer engagements.
- Leading and executing testing projects, including design-of-experiments, failure analysis, test planning, test execution, data analysis, and correlation with simulation results.
- Contributing to research and development (R&D) initiatives focused on electronics reliability, packaging, and mechanical behavior.
- Performing advanced simulations to assess responses of finite element models under temperature cycling, vibration, and mechanical shock.
- Conducting Sherlock simulations to model printed circuit board assemblies and predict solder fatigue under various environmental conditions.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate mechanical risks in electronic components, products, and systems.
- Building strong internal networks across regions and functions, supporting technical excellence and business growth.
- Applying and growing industry-specific knowledge in electronics reliability and packaging, contributing to internal and external thought leadership.

What You’ll Need:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (required); MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience supporting external customers, laboratory testing, or internal R&D.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) theory and tools, including Ansys Mechanical.
- Experience with simulation and physical testing environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently and collaboratively manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Synopsys tools (Sherlock, Icepak, Mechanical, LS-Dyna) and industry standards (JEDEC, MIL-STD-883, IPC).
- Knowledge of electronics packaging, failure modes, reliability physics, and failure analysis.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
- Passion for hands-on engineering, laboratory work, and advancing reliability methods.
