Member of the COE Finance team who ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information. Operates as the subject matter expert, continuously looks for improvements in operational processes and designs and implements those initiatives. 


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing:
  • Shall be responsible for the end-to-end Payroll operations & the related compliance activities.
  • Process monthly payroll for multiple Europe entities. 
  • Validate success factor interface and change report to ensure that the correct information is being passed for the payroll processing.
  • Process stock options and ESPP in the payroll.
  • Review payroll data processed by payroll vendor (GTN , Payslips, Other statute reports).
  • Perform payroll controls to ensure accuracy of payroll report.
  • Manage payroll authorization and timely payment of payroll to employees.
  • Assure and own the payroll accounting & reconciliations.
  • Monitor and reply to all employee requests/queries pertaining to Payroll, statutory compliance etc.
  • Coordinate off-cycle payrolls if any.
  • Manage year end statutory filings and closure activities.
  • Provide support and integration of new payroll acquisitions.
  • Organize information and content of the payroll function (e.g. Desktop procedures, SOX Docs etc)
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects to deliver process improvements and add-value to the Payroll Org.
  • Accounting:
    • Should be able to prepare and post various Journal Entries related Payroll (Including Payroll GL booking, other payroll expense accounting, recons, payroll related accrual /provision, payroll cost allocation etc.).
    • Should be able to reconcile GL accounts related to Payroll.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, timely statutory filing, surveys, and payments to authority etc.)
    • Preparation and Co-ordination with auditors and ensures smooth completion of audits related to payroll.
  • MIS reports
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterly payroll cost variance report (CC wise, BU wise and function wise).
    • Preparation of monthly payroll MIS and adhoc reports for management.
  • GPP software knowledge – knowledge of payroll processing through PWC’s GPP is an added advantage.


Job Requirements:

  1. 5 to 10 years of proven experience in multi-country payroll administration, and within that, Europe payroll is a must.
  2. Degree or master’s degree from any recognized university. 
  3. Strong knowledge of Europe tax regulation.
  4. Strong knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems, especially Employee Center, ServiceNow etc.
  5. Exposure to labor law compliances.
  6. High degree of professionalism.
  7. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  8. Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  9. Must have good interpersonal, written, and verbal communications and good presentation skills.
