We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent years building and maintaining infrastructure that keeps development teams moving, and you know that the best DevOps work is invisible until something breaks. You think in pipelines, not one-off fixes. You are the person who sees a manual deployment process and immediately starts scripting it out in Python or Perl, not because automation is trendy but because you have watched teams waste hours on work a script could handle in minutes.
You care about documentation as much as you care about uptime. You have written enough technical docs to know that clarity beats comprehensiveness, and that a well-structured DITA XML guide can save a product team from dozens of support tickets. You can sit with a subject matter expert, ask the right questions, and walk away with enough to write a reference guide that actually makes sense to the person reading it six months later.
You are comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments, and you do not need perfect tooling to get started. Whether it is Teamcity, Jenkins, Perforce, or Git, you learn what you need and move. At Synopsys, you will work on Saber products where your automation and documentation will directly support EDA workflows that power semiconductor development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Automate build and test infrastructure using continuous integration tools like Teamcity and Jenkins, ensuring reliability and speed across development cycles
- Leverage Agentic AI to improve and extend current build and test automation workflows, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency
- Manage system builds, configurations, patches, and upgrades across Windows and Linux environments, keeping infrastructure stable as new tools and services are added
- Design, develop, and debug development and test environments that support product teams working on Saber EDA tools
- Create and update technical documentation and user guides in DITA XML using Oxygen XML Editor, following Synopsys standards and building doc packages with standard templates
- Collaborate with product teams and subject matter experts to gather input, validate technical accuracy, and ensure all documentation is current and ready for scheduled releases
- Develop best practices for monitoring infrastructure performance and availability using new or existing tooling
The Impact You Will Have
- Your automation work will reduce build and test cycle times, giving engineering teams faster feedback and more time to focus on product development
- The infrastructure you manage will support the ongoing growth of Saber products, enabling new features and tools to ship reliably
- Your documentation will help customers understand complex EDA workflows, reducing support load and improving product adoption
- By integrating Agentic AI into automation pipelines, you will push the boundaries of what our DevOps infrastructure can handle with less manual overhead
- Your monitoring and performance work will catch issues before they become incidents, keeping development velocity high
- The environments you design will give developers and testers the stability they need to do their best work
- Your collaboration with product teams will ensure that technical content ships on time and meets the quality bar customers expect
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, MCA, or equivalent field with foundational programming knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, quality engineering, documentation, or software development, ideally in the EDA or semiconductor domain
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and how to work across both
- Strong proficiency in Python or Perl for scripting and automation
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Teamcity or Jenkins
- Proficiency with source control management systems like Perforce and Git
- Experience with DITA XML authoring and familiarity with working directly in XML code, experience with Oxygen XML Editor is a plus
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and how to apply it to automation workflows is a plus
- Skills in web programming, databases, C/C++, compilers, or distributed storage technology are a plus
- Understanding of RESTful web services and API development is a plus
Who You Are
- You can write a Python script that automates a repetitive task and then document it clearly enough that someone else can maintain it six months later
- You know how to prioritize when multiple systems need attention at once, balancing urgency with long-term stability
- You can sit in a meeting with a product manager or engineer, ask clarifying questions, and walk out with what you need to either automate a workflow or write a user guide
- You are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, but you also know when to pull in help or escalate an issue
- You have an eye for detail, whether it is catching a misconfiguration in a build script or spotting a grammar issue in a technical doc before it ships
- You are willing to learn new tools and technologies as the infrastructure evolves, and you do not wait for formal training to get started
