What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based systems for diverse applications, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Validate FPGA-based IP prototypes ("Device Under Test") against real-world devices, test equipment, and other hardware systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support current and future development efforts.
- Elaborate and execute detailed test plans and routines to ensure compliance with leading-edge industry standards.
- Detect, troubleshoot, debug, and investigate potential ASIC issues early in the prototyping process.
- Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, internal and external customers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

- Enhance the reliability and performance of Synopsys Controllers and PHY Interface IPs through rigorous validation and prototyping.
- Reduce risk and accelerate time-to-market by identifying and mitigating potential ASIC faults early in the development cycle.
- Support Synopsys’ IP business by validating key features and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Drive innovation by integrating new capabilities into SoCs, helping customers meet unique performance, power, and size requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of differentiated products that shape the future of technology.
- Strengthen team collaboration and customer relationships, ensuring seamless integration and support throughout the development lifecycle.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
- 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.
- Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, and simulation of integrated circuitry.
- Expertise with scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, Perl, and Bash.
- Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces and protocols (AMBA AXI, APB).
- Experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., XILINX Vivado; Synopsys Synplify or Protocompiler is a plus).
- Knowledge of digital design methods, including floor planning, timing constraints, and static timing analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Preferred: Expertise with HAPS-100, HAPS-80 boards, Protocompiler flows, peripheral interfaces (SD/eMMC, (LP)DDR), simulation tools (VCS), and laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers).
