We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years learning that the hardest part of delivering semiconductor IP is not the technical work itself, it is getting a dozen teams across four time zones to align on what "done" actually means and then making it happen on schedule. You know the difference between a release plan that looks good in a deck and one that actually ships, and you have built enough of both to spot the gap in the first meeting.

You are comfortable walking into a room where the hardware team says three weeks, the software team says six, and the executive sponsor says next Tuesday, and finding the version of reality that gets everyone moving in the same direction. You do not manage by authority, you manage by clarity. You ask the questions that expose the real blockers, not the ones people think they are supposed to say out loud.

When a dependency slips or a risk materializes, you do not wait for someone to notice. You surface it early, frame it with enough context that a VP can make a call, and keep the team focused on what they can control. At Synopsys, you will work on IP releases that power the chips behind AI, automotive, and 5G, and the programs you run will determine whether those products ship on time or slip a quarter.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end release planning and execution for multiple semiconductor IP products, managing content, schedules, and cross-functional dependencies from kickoff through delivery
  • Act as the central point of contact between engineering, product management, design verification, and business stakeholders to align on objectives, timelines, and tradeoffs
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and critical issues with the right level of detail and urgency to drive executive decision-making
  • Drive problem resolution across teams using data, clear framing, and conscious tradeoff discussions, not just status updates
  • Manage and improve release processes, tooling, and practices across product lines and functional groups to reduce friction and increase predictability
  • Coordinate cross-product dependencies and integration points, ensuring alignment on interfaces, schedules, and quality gates
  • Develop training materials and onboarding content with the PMO team to scale best practices across the organization

The Impact You Will Have

  • Your release plans will determine whether cutting-edge IP for AI, automotive, and 5G products ship on time or miss their market window
  • The risks you surface early and escalate clearly will prevent last-minute scrambles and give leadership the time to make better decisions
  • Your ability to align cross-functional teams will reduce schedule slips, rework, and the chaos that comes from misaligned assumptions
  • The processes you improve will make every release after yours run smoother, faster, and with fewer surprises
  • Your communication will give executives the visibility they need and individual contributors the clarity they need, at the same time
  • The dependencies you manage will keep multiple product lines from blocking each other and ensure integration happens cleanly
  • Your work will help Synopsys deliver the IP that powers the next generation of chips that go into the products people use every day

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 7+ years of program or project management experience in a semiconductor or EDA company
  • Direct experience managing release planning, schedules, and content for hardware or IP products with multiple cross-functional dependencies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority, driving alignment and execution across engineering, product, and business functions
  • Strong grasp of semiconductor IP development workflows, including design, verification, integration, and release processes
  • Experience identifying, framing, and escalating technical and schedule risks to executives with the right level of context and urgency
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and making progress when requirements are incomplete or priorities are shifting
  • Experience with program management tools and practices for tracking schedules, dependencies, and deliverables across distributed teams is a plus

Who You Are

  • You can walk into a meeting with incomplete information, ask three clarifying questions, and leave with a plan that everyone understands and agrees to execute
  • You know when to escalate and when to solve, and you frame issues so that the person receiving them can actually make a decision, not just acknowledge the problem
  • You are organized enough to track five concurrent releases without dropping threads, and flexible enough to re-plan when reality changes
  • You communicate clearly and concisely across levels, whether you are updating a VP in two sentences or walking an engineer through a dependency they did not know existed
  • You do not wait for someone to tell you there is a problem, you see it coming, surface it early, and bring options, not just alerts
  • You lead by influence, not position, and people follow your plans because they trust that you have thought through the details and the tradeoffs
