We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent years in the verification trenches and you know that the moment a design grows past a certain size, simulation stops being enough. You have lived through the tradeoffs between speed, visibility, and capacity, and you understand that emulation is not just a faster simulator, it is a different way of thinking about verification altogether. You are the kind of engineer who can walk into a customer's lab, look at their testbench, their runtime numbers, and their bottlenecks, and sketch out a path forward that actually fits their flow.
You do not just answer questions, you ask better ones. When a customer says "it's not working," you dig until you find the real issue, whether that is a mapping problem, a clock domain crossing they missed, or a synthesis constraint they did not know they needed. You are comfortable sitting with R&D to push a feature request and sitting with a customer the next day to explain why a workaround is the right call for now. You think in solutions, not excuses, and you care about making the customer successful, not just closing the ticket.
At Synopsys, you will work on ZeBu, the emulation platform that is redefining how the industry verifies complex SoCs, and you will be the technical voice that makes it real for customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the technical relationship for key ZeBu accounts, serving as the single point of contact for all emulation and verification challenges on active projects
- Explore customer verification flows, identify gaps between simulation and emulation, and define solutions that bridge the two environments
- Drive product demonstrations, competitive benchmarks, and customer evaluations that show what ZeBu can do in their actual design context
- Work directly with R&D to define product requirements, validate new features, and track development based on real customer needs and field issues
- Ramp up internal validation teams on new ZeBu capabilities, create training content, and lead technical evaluations before customer delivery
- Debug complex issues across RTL, testbench, synthesis, FPGA mapping, and emulation runtime, coordinating across customer teams and internal engineering
- Influence customer adoption decisions by demonstrating differentiated emulation workflows that solve their verification bottlenecks
The Impact You Will Have
- Customers will adopt ZeBu because you showed them a verification flow that actually works for their design, not a generic pitch
- R&D will build features that matter because you translated messy customer problems into clear, prioritized requirements
- Synopsys will win competitive evaluations because you ran the benchmarks, understood the results, and made the case that holds up under scrutiny
- Field teams will close deals faster because you removed the technical blockers and built customer confidence in the platform
- Product quality will improve because you caught issues during validation that would have surfaced in the field
- Customer projects will stay on schedule because you debugged the hard problems before they became schedule risks
- The ZeBu roadmap will reflect real-world usage because you brought customer insight into the planning process
What You'll Need
- Direct hands-on experience in SoC design verification or validation using simulation, emulation, or both
- Strong understanding of RTL design, testbench development, synthesis flows, and mapping RTL to FPGA-based platforms
- Solid grasp of synthesis and timing analysis concepts, enough to debug why something did not map or meet timing
- Comfort working in Unix/Linux development environments and navigating complex verification tool flows
- Experience with C/C++ is a plus, scripting experience in Tcl or Python is a plus
- Proven ability to interface with customers, negotiate technical tradeoffs, and communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to lead multi-team technical efforts without losing the thread
Who You Are
- You can look at a failing emulation compile and know where to start, synthesis log, mapping report, or RTL issue, without needing someone to point you there
- You are comfortable telling a customer "that will not work" if it will not work, and then offering a path that will
- You can explain a complex verification tradeoff to a customer's project lead in two minutes without losing the technical nuance or their attention
- You do not wait for perfect information to move forward, you work with what you have, ask the right questions, and make progress
- You can context-switch between a customer call, an R&D feature discussion, and a benchmark review without dropping any of the threads
- You care about making the customer successful, not just technically right, and you know the difference
The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will join the Verification Group focused on emulation and prototyping solutions, working closely with ZeBu customers across a range of industries. The team collaborates daily with R&D, product validation, field sales, and marketing to deliver the most complete verification platform in the market. Your work will directly shape how customers adopt and succeed with ZeBu, and how the product evolves based on real-world usage.
Rewards and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
