You Are
A motivated engineer with a strong foundation in Static Timing Analysis (STA) and a keen interest in deepening your expertise. You enjoy solving technical challenges, working collaboratively, and contributing to product quality. You have hands‑on experience with Synopsys PrimeTime or timing analysis flows, and you are comfortable using scripting languages like Perl, Tcl, and Python to automate tasks and improve efficiency. You are detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and committed to delivering robust validation results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Execute product validation tasks for Synopsys PrimeTime, following requirements, functional specifications, and defined validation plans.
- Reproduce customer scenarios and assist in root cause analysis of reported issues.
- Identify product weak areas and support proactive validation to reduce customer‑reported problems.
- Work closely with R&D and Product Engineering teams to validate fixes, clarify requirements, and ensure smooth integration.
- Perform functional, regression, and stress testing on STA features and flows.
- Use scripting to automate testcases, enhance validation coverage, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Analyze validation data and document observations, inconsistencies, and improvement areas.
- Prepare clear validation reports and communicate results to cross‑functional teams.

- Contribute to the quality and reliability of the PrimeTime STA tool, widely used across the semiconductor industry.
- Improve customer experience by helping detect issues early in the development cycle.
- Strengthen collaboration across R&D, Product Engineering, and Field teams through accurate validation and timely feedback.
- Support continuous improvements in tool accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Help enable successful deployment of advanced STA features in high‑performance chip designs.
What You’ll Need
- Good understanding of Static Timing Analysis fundamentals.
- BSEE with 2+ years of relevant experience OR MSEE with 1+ year of experience.
- Exposure to or experience with:
- Synopsys PrimeTime or similar STA tools
- Timing analysis concepts, SDC constraints
- OCV, derates, PBA , ECO flows (basic familiarity)
- Hierarchical/distributed STA flows (added advantage)
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Perl, Tcl, Python for automation and validation scripting.
- High attention to detail and quality‑driven mindset.
