Executive Director of Established Nodes Product Strategies
Title: Executive Director of Established Nodes Product Strategies
Location: Cairo, Egypt
We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent decades in the semiconductor industry and witnessed a fundamental shift in design strategy. The focus has evolved from exclusively pursuing leading-edge nodes to embracing complex 3D integration, chiplet architectures, and heterogeneous designs on established process nodes that now represent significant strategic value. You understand that the most compelling challenges in the industry center on multi-die integration, leveraging mature processes for cost-effective performance, and delivering differentiated solutions without the risk profile of bleeding-edge technology.
You are someone foundries consult when they need to think through ecosystem requirements and roadmap alignment. Your relationships span fabless companies, IP providers, and EDA teams, built on years of delivering substantive insight and strategic guidance. When you enter a discussion, stakeholders expect you to bring informed perspective that advances the conversation meaningfully.
Building and leading high-performing teams is central to how you operate. You know how to identify technical talent, provide them with autonomy to solve complex problems, and maintain strategic focus on what drives business outcomes. You are equally effective operating as a leader setting organizational direction and as an individual contributor when a critical initiative requires your direct involvement. At Synopsys, you will establish a new capability, building both the team and the strategy that positions the company as the essential partner in the established node market transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
•
Build and lead a new team of technical product managers and PDK engineers focused on established process node strategies, defining their roles, priorities, and integration points with existing Synopsys product management and R&D organizations
•
Drive the development of product requirements and technical collateral that enable customers to design complex 3D and chiplet architectures on mature nodes using Synopsys EDA solutions
Establish a PDK development function that leverages AI-driven automation to efficiently create and validate the expanding portfolio of derivative PDKs the market demands, optimizing resource allocation across limited skilled engineering capacity
•
Align PDK and tech file priorities across Synopsys product lines, ecosystem partnerships, sales, and R&D to ensure customers can deploy complete Synopsys flows on established nodes without workflow gaps
•
Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with foundries, fabless companies, and IP providers in the established node ecosystem, positioning Synopsys as the strategic partner for their technology roadmaps and market initiatives
•
Negotiate and influence cross-functional initiatives throughout Synopsys, ensuring established node priorities are reflected in product development schedules, sales enablement programs, and marketing strategies
•
Represent Synopsys at industry forums, customer engagements, and technical conferences, articulating how established node solutions enable the broader 3D integration and chiplet ecosystem
The Impact You Will Have
•
Position Synopsys as the EDA leader in the established node market driven by 3D integration and chiplet adoption, creating measurable competitive differentiation in a rapidly evolving segment
•
Deliver a world-class product management and PDK development organization that becomes the authoritative resource for mature process node solutions across Synopsys and the semiconductor ecosystem
•
Accelerate customer time-to-market for designs on established nodes by ensuring PDKs, tech files, and tool flows are available, validated, and synchronized across the Synopsys product portfolio
•
Influence foundry and fabless technology roadmaps by engaging early in their planning cycles, ensuring mutual customer requirements drive both their offerings and Synopsys development priorities
•
Strengthen Synopsys relationships with key ecosystem participants, transforming transactional interactions into strategic partnerships that enable joint development and co-marketing initiatives
•
Enable the sales organization to capture opportunities in the established node space by providing differentiated value propositions, technical validation, and executive-level customer engagement
•
Shape industry perspective on mature process nodes, repositioning them from legacy technology to strategic enablers of next-generation system architectures
What You'll Need
•
25+ years in EDA or semiconductor product management, with substantial experience in foundry partnerships, PDK development, and ecosystem strategy
•
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Device Physics required, PhD strongly preferred
•
Established credibility and executive-level relationships within the established process node ecosystem, including foundries, fabless companies, and IP providers
•
Proven track record building and scaling technical product management teams that support global product portfolios and customer-facing organizations
•
Experience negotiating complex partnerships and driving alignment across engineering, sales, and executive leadership without direct reporting authority
•
Ability to operate strategically at the organizational level while engaging tactically on specific technical or customer issues when circumstances require direct involvement
•
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-level presentations that convey complex technical strategies with clarity and impact
Who You Are
•
You can facilitate discussions between foundry executives and Synopsys engineering leadership, translating between their respective priorities to identify mutually beneficial paths forward
•
You make decisions based on available information and clear reasoning, then build organizational alignment through transparent communication and follow-through
•
You provide constructive challenge when product roadmaps do not reflect market requirements, even when that means having difficult conversations with senior stakeholders
•
You understand how to build effective teams from the ground up, which means recruiting strategically, setting clear expectations, and creating the conditions for high performance without excessive oversight
•
You approach professional relationships as long-term investments, consistently delivering on commitments and arriving prepared for substantive engagement
•
You can distill complex tradeoffs between PDK development timelines, tool readiness, and customer design schedules into concise executive summaries that preserve technical accuracy while enabling strategic decisions
The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will be creating a dynamic team focused on greatly expanding Synopsys' product offerings and market positioning in the established node design environment. This team will work closely with product management, sales, and R&D to align established node ecosystem with Synopsys' overall strategic goals. As a key component of the overall Synopsys EDA Product Management Group, this team will identify and cultivate new opportunities, drive collaborative initiatives, and promote joint marketing programs to deliver solutions to the semiconductor market that mutual established node customers need as the world moves into multiple ways to design their offerings. It is no longer just "let's go to the next process node" but a "how do we best design this" world.
Rewards and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process
At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
