You Are
You are the kind of person who instinctively takes ownership the moment something feels “off,” not because you’re asked to, but because you care deeply about how work gets done when technology is involved. You approach each day with calm urgency, steady under pressure, attentive to details, and motivated by the satisfaction of turning friction into flow. You thrive in environments where priorities shift quickly and where the best path forward is often a mix of structure, judgment, and empathy.
You don’t just “fix issues” you restore momentum. You listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and translate uncertainty into clear next steps so people feel supported rather than overwhelmed. You’re comfortable working independently, but you’re not isolated . You naturally keep others informed, anticipate downstream impacts, and build trust through consistent follow-through. When processes are unclear, you clarify. When something repeats, you don’t accept it as normal. You look for the root cause and help make it better for everyone.
You take pride in being the reliable point of coordination when hardware arrives, when systems change, or when a team needs to get unblocked fast. You value security and discretion as everyday habits. Above all, you bring a service mindset: patient, practical and someone people remember because work felt easier after you stepped in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage laptop and accessory ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and distribution, ensuring accurate asset records and timely fulfillment.
- Provide day-to-day support for laptop, desktop, and mobile device issues for local and remote employees, driving incidents through resolution with clear documentation and communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems, escalating when appropriate while documenting outcomes to improve future support.
- Coordinate hardware shipping and returns, including packaging, labeling, and chain-of-custody practices to protect devices and data.
- Support rollouts of new tools, systems, and updates to end users or groups, helping ensure smooth adoption with minimal downtime.
- Maintain desktop environment security practices by supporting password hygiene, data integrity, and secure handling of user devices and files.
- Assist with basic upkeep, hardware replacements and troubleshooting of network, teleconference, lab, and data center equipment as needed to keep onsite operations running.
What You’ll Need
- You have proficiency supporting Windows and macOS endpoints in a professional environment.
- You bring a customer-first mindset and communicate clearly in spoken and written English with both technical and non-technical users.
- You have hands-on familiarity with PC hardware components and apply structured troubleshooting to isolate and resolve issues efficiently.
- You have working knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and can support common device, application, and connectivity problems.
- You bring strong organizational habits to manage inventory, assets, shipping/receiving, and multiple concurrent support requests with high accountability.
- You have familiarity with Microsoft Office, and you bring comfort working in Excel and SharePoint to track, document, and coordinate work.
- You bring the ability to document and follow standard operating procedures and contribute to improving support processes over time.
Who You Are
- You approach support with curiosity and discipline, asking targeted questions and validating assumptions before acting.
- You are responsive and transparent, setting expectations early and keeping users informed until the issue is fully resolved.
- You balance empathy with efficiency, adapting your communication style so both technical and non-technical partners feel understood.
- You take ownership end-to-end, following through on details like documentation, handoffs, and root-cause notes—not just the immediate fix.
- You stay organized under competing priorities, triaging effectively and shifting gears without dropping commitments.
