Lead - Electronics Engineer (FPGA)
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a highly motivated and innovative FPGA engineer with strong theoretical and practical background in FPGA design. Candidate will be part of a team responsible for driving new developments of new technologies in a state-of-the-art emulation systems. We are looking for a team-oriented, self-driven individual with a keen technical mind and an eye for detail. You will be expected to help customers to resolve their FPGA related issues and explore innovative technologies and techniques to enhance our current and future product lines.
A robust methodology to handle complex situation and scenario is required for this role. Under supervision of our experts, you will become a top player and expert for our emulation product line.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical customer support for Synopsys Emulation platform on FPGA compiling/Building.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes on FPGA development.
- Understanding complex technical challenges. A strong problem-solving attitude is also part of the role.
- Partner with customer technical leaders to develop effective technical solutions based on the Synopsys emulation platform.
- Interact with R&D to influence Synopsys products and feature development to increase competitiveness.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficient in Verilog, HDL language and FPGA design (Vivado, Quartus, etc)
- Knowledge of simulation and verification methodologies (VCS simulator, UVM/OVM).
- Proficient in FPGA timing closure and area/timing optimization techniques
- Knowledge of place & route of FPGA and handling congestion
- Hands on Experience with bring up of FPGA designs.
- Knowledge of ASIC and FPGA design flows is desirable.
- Excellent organization and communication skills for interacting between different design groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must as the role requires interfacing with clients, review their challenges, proposing solutions
- Must have working knowledge on UNIX, Tcl and/or any other scripting language to be effective
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BS in EE or Computer Science, MS.
- 4+ years of experience in ASIC/FPGA Development (Verilog, System Verilog and/or VHDL)
