What You'll Be Doing

• Design and maintain automated test scenarios for Synopsys flagship EDA software, using Python, Tcl, and shell scripting to build coverage that scales
• Analyze test execution results, investigate failures, and document detailed defect reports that give developers everything they need to reproduce and resolve issues
• Execute comprehensive regression suites across product releases to ensure zero functional degradation as new features ship
• Contribute to test planning for new features and product updates, translating requirements into test strategies that cover real-world usage patterns
• Collaborate with development teams during troubleshooting and root cause analysis, providing clear context on how and where issues surface
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, flagging areas where design decisions will make validation harder downstream
• Drive quality improvements by identifying gaps in test coverage, proposing automation opportunities, and refining testing processes as the product evolves

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software validation, quality assurance, or product verification, or 5+ years with a Master's degree
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Tcl, and shell for building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of how to analyze complex system behavior, debug failures, and trace issues back to root cause
• Experience working in EDA tools, semiconductor design flows, or similarly complex technical software environments is a strong plus
• Exposure to AI systems, machine learning workflows, or validation of AI-enhanced tools is a bonus
• Ability to work autonomously, manage your own test coverage priorities, and proactively flag quality risks without waiting for direction
