We are looking for an experienced office manager to be responsible for general operations of our Synopsys office in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

This role is part-time (32 hours) or full-time (40 hours), onsite at our office Eindhoven, Netherlands.

You Are:

You are an experienced office manager with over 5 years relevant experience. You have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global company. You are self-motivated, proactive, creative, flexible, and use good judgment to accomplish tasks on schedule with minimal direction and supervision. You can balance multiple priorities and requests with appropriate attention to detail, follow up and confidentiality. Your expertise is complemented by your outstanding communication and organizational skills, making you an integral part of our team.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Using a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office
  • Giving daily administrative support.
  • Act as the administrative point of contact, collaborate with other Synopsys teams (IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Facilities...) to support local employees and site manager.
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures. 
  • Managing contracts with vendors and service providers. 
  • Purchasing office and food supplies and maintaining proper stock levels. 
  • Involvement with office space planning & Facilities requests – lead all aspects of space plans and facilities requirements for the team (includes floor re-shuffles, new hire setups, etc.)
  • Assist colleagues and visitors whenever necessary. 
  • Handling Email communication related to general office operations and/or correspondence to external partners, suppliers.
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies, including health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office.
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data 
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments; providing reminders to staff when important events are upcoming. 
  • Planning in-house or off-site activities such as management meetings or celebrations.
  • Work on special projects as needed and provide support to site management and business groups present in Eindhoven office.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields like business administration, facilities management, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Proven first experience as an Administrative Assistant, office assistant or relevant assistant role. 
  • Outstanding communication, Dutch and English language is required, and interpersonal abilities in a multi-cultural environment 
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles. 
  • Advanced MS Office, Outlook, and Teams/WebEx/ Zoom capability, including scheduling management for individuals and teams, building PowerPoint presentations, manipulating data in Excel, generating memoranda in Word, and preparing reports.
