You Are:

You are a skilled and knowledgeable professional with a passion for applied security of digital systems. With a PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences, you bring expertise in cryptography and embedded security. You have experience with side-channel and fault injection analysis or countermeasure development. Your excellent presentation and communication skills enable you to interact effectively across teams and at various levels within the organizations. You thrive in collaborative environments, always ready to help others succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assessing side-channel and fault injection resistance of security IP implementations through pre- and post-implementation vulnerability analysis.
• Taking part in designing and testing side-channel and fault injection countermeasures for cryptographic HW implementations.
• Providing input and guidance to R&D development teams for productizing designed countermeasures.
• Assisting in validation and certification projects of security IP products.
• Performing security risk and vulnerability assessments of security IP implementations and products and proposing mitigations.

The Impact You Will Have:

• Improving the overall physical attack resistance of our security IP modules, mitigating known and unknown risks and threats.
• Obtaining product security certifications which demonstrate the quality and security of our security IP products to customers.
• Further driving the successful adoption of an overall physical security mindset in the security IP R&D teams and contributing to product development through collaborative input and valuable feedback.
• Establishing and elevating Synopsys' market position as a leader in security IP products.

What You’ll Need:

• MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of practical cryptography and cryptographic standards.
• Knowledge and experience in digital security.
• Hands-on experience with side-channel or fault injection setups, or countermeasure development.
• Prior experience with validation and certification projects by evaluation labs is a plus.
