The Team You'll Be Part Of:
The IT Platform team at Synopsys is at the forefront of providing a top-tier EDA design environment for HPC workloads. As we undergo rapid expansion, we are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to catalyze our transformation. We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Linux/HPC and Ansible.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborating with Engineering teams to enhance the HPC environment.
- Leading efforts in maintaining and troubleshooting complex performance issues in the HPC environment.
- Communicating and providing Root Cause Analysis to internal customers.
- Mentoring team members in change management and automation best practices.
- Implementing automation, APIs, and monitoring for observability.
What You’ll Need:
- In-depth knowledge of Linux variants like RHEL/Ubuntu.
- Expertise in HPC components like NFS/Shared File systems and Grid Schedulers (IBM spectrum LSF / Univa Grid / SLURM).
- Proficiency in automation frameworks like Ansible.
- Extensive knowledge of x86 server hardware platforms, including benchmarking and tuning for HPC.
- Familiarity with ARM/IBM power/Apple platform is an asset.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms like OpenStack / VMware.
Qualifications:
- RedHat Certified Architect (RHCA) or equivalent.
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
