Cloud Infrastructure Architect
Hillsboro, Oregon, United States Apply NowSynopsys IT cloud team is responsible for providing best in class EDA Infrastructure & Design environment in the public cloud, optimized to meet the scale and complexity of the EDA workload.
We are looking for a Cloud Architect with expertise in the Design & implementation of the EDA/HPC environment in a multi-cloud paradigm. This role would evaluate, design, and formalize the customized HPC Infrastructure stack for various Synopsys products based on their compute, storage & network footprint. Help creates a well-informed cloud Infrastructure automation strategy with a strong emphasis on standardization and reusability.
Responsibilities:
Designing scalable multi-cloud HPC Infrastructure foundation for EDA workloads
Define and deploy networking, storage, and compute system architectures for front-end, back-end, delivery, deployment, security, and user experience.
Evaluate and adopt new Cloud services in Servers, Storage/Backup, and Network for scalability, robustness, and uptime improvement in all global sites.
Define guidelines for best practices, methodology, and solutions.
Collaborate with development, cloud operations, and business development groups to align technical roadmaps and cloud strategy.
Researching and recommending specific systems, architectures, and applications, for cloud infrastructure solutions.
Participate in the design and implementation of new system layers of high complexity EDA/HPC design environments. Ensure seamless integration of new and existing systems to enhance IT infrastructure.
Desired Skills:
Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and building Cloud EDA/HPC Infrastructure, services, and applications.
Experience with cluster computing, specifically with systems like Load Sharing Facility (LSF), is strongly preferred.
Domain Knowledge of the underlying infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
Understanding of Application, Server, and Network Security
HA and Scalability knowledge and experience.
Experience & Certifications in a range of cloud services such as GCP, AWS, with a strong preference for Azure.
Relevant experience of 7+ yrs.
Startup mentality: You are comfortable navigating fast-moving hyper-growth initiatives.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Candidates with existing U.S. work authorization (Green Card holders or U.S. citizens) are highly preferred.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $118,000-$176,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
