You Are: An ideal candidate for the Application Engineer for Prototyping role at Synopsys is a highly motivated and skilled professional with a solid background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. You bring a blend of technical acumen and interpersonal skills, allowing you to navigate complex technical landscapes while effectively communicating with diverse teams. You have hands-on experience with FPGA prototyping platforms and a knack for debugging and solving intricate design issues. You’re a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and are always eager to learn and grow.

With a deep understanding of RTL to FPGA porting using tools like Vivado or Synplify, you have the expertise to manage FPGA compile/runtime/debug processes. Your familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, CSH, BASH, and Makefile, coupled with your fluent English reading and writing skills, makes you an asset in technical discussions and documentation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deploy and evaluate Synopsys prototyping solutions successfully.
  • Collaborate with customers, Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide pre-sales evaluations and post-sales support, including HAPS hardware and daughter board maintenance.
  • Develop collaterals and technical documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve complex design porting and HAPS bring-up issues.
  • Ensure a stable HAPS platform for customers' ASIC/SoC designs.

What You’ll Need:

  • A college degree (or above) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience in porting RTL to FPGA using Vivado or Synplify/Protocompiler/Protosynthesis.
  • Expertise in FPGA prototyping platforms like HAPS, S2C, or TalentPros.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, CSH, BASH, and Makefile.
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills, especially for technical specifications.
