You Are: 

The ideal candidate to management and expand the Synopsys ICV design kit development team. Will work in concert Synopsys EDA Product Management Team and R&D to streamline creation of ICV design kits (DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill) in support of advanced semiconductor process nodes so that critical versions of the ICV design kits are developed in time to be used for first source semiconductor designs and critical IP blocks. You will be an established entity within the semiconductor ecosystem. You will be at the forefront of influencing the entire ecosystem, including Foundries, Fabless Companies, and IP companiesso that Synopsys has a complete understanding as to what needs to be incorporated into product roadmaps to support our mutual customers develop more complex designs quicker and on schedule. You should be able to lead and expand ateam that not only can work with both the foundry PDK (Process Design Kits) and DRM (Design Rule Manual) teams to effectively create checks that provide the necessary coverage but anticipate future potential problems. You have the ability to negotiate and influence at high levels, tohelpexpand the Synopsys relationships with key industry leaders to continuously move our initiatives forward. You are highly motivated, with a passion for innovation and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, product management and sales teams to ensure alignment to initiatives. You are comfortable working as an individual contributor on some special projects in addition to leading theICV Design Kit Product Development team. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

Support, manage and grow a team that is responsible for the creation and execution of ICV design kits designs that aligns with Synopsys' broader business objectives at advanced process nodes.

Establish and manage a team that develops the requirements and technical collateral needed by advanced semiconductor process nodes design kits to design more complex designs faster using Synopsys offerings. 

Work closely with product management, R&D and sales teams to align established node needs with Synopsys product development and go-to-market strategies.

Work with Ecosystem Team, Product Management, Sales and R&D to align and schedule ICV design kits across the Synopsys product lines and the ecosystem so all solutions can support an entire Synopsys flow for all customer needs.

Cultivate trust-based relationships across all levels within Synopsys organizations to strengthen collaboration and facilitate swift problem resolution.

Serve as a skilled negotiator and influencer to align with the Synopsys Ecosystem Team and Product Management Group on advanced process node partner activities and outcomes with Synopsys’ strategic goals.

The Impact You Will Have: 

Expand Synopsys market presence in the physical and reliability verification market by ensuring ICV design kits are the first available in the market.

Expand and Create a world class ICV design kit team that also develops all the elements required to use Synopsys EDA solutions for first source semiconductor designs

Build and maintain trust-based relationships within Synopsys EDA to facilitate collaboration and proactive management of established process node solutions.

Assist Sales to navigate complex partnership discussions and agreements, balancing Synopsys’ needs with mutually beneficial outcomes for the market.

What You’ll Need: 

20+ years of relevant EDA/semiconductor product management and marketing experience. 

BS in Electrical Engineering and or Device Physics required. MS in your field desired.

Deep expertise in understanding Semiconductor ecosystem, and expertise with Foundry, EDA PDK development and associated relationships.

Experience in coding in Synopsys ICV desired. Experience in coding in competitive DRC, LVS, and PERC advanced nodes (nm) design kits required.

Proven ability to manage and motivate a process design kit a product management team that can support Synopsys product teams and customers worldwide.

Be a well-known commodity within the semiconductor ecosystem with key companies’ relationships within the established process nodes.

Ability to influence manage across all ofSynopsys, both within Product Management Group and all other organizations within Synopsys EDA.

Exceptional ability to drive and achieve results by yourself and others under time pressure.

Excellent presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of: 

You will be managing and expanding a dynamic team focused on greatly expanding Synopsys’ product offerings and market positioning physical verification ecosystem market. This team will work closely with product management, sales, and R&D to the prioritized design kits required by the semiconductor ecosystem to drive Synopsys’ overall strategic goals. This manager will work with Product Management to identify and cultivate new opportunities, drive collaborative initiatives, and promote joint marketing programs to deliver solutions to the semiconductor market as the world moves into multiple ways to design their offerings.
