You Are:

You are a seasoned engineer with a strong background in custom IC design and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. With a BSEE/MSEE and over 5 years of experience as a Design engineer or CAD engineer, you bring deep knowledge of the complete custom/mixed-signal design flow. Your expertise includes custom and analog layout design, 3DIC, and core applications like Schematic-Driven Layout (SDL), Analog Placement and Routing, LVS/DRC, Extraction, and Analog/Digital Co-design and Simulation Analysis. You possess strong scripting skills in TCL, Perl, and Python, which you leverage to automate and streamline design processes. Excellent communication skills enable you to effectively interface with customers and understand their needs. You are a proactive problem-solver, capable of working independently and collaboratively, and you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Enabling customer flows and deploying Custom Design solutions for key customers.
• Collaborating with R&D to define and drive product direction by identifying designer needs and specifying tool capabilities for next-generation designs.
• Contributing to complex aspects of projects and developing approaches to solutions.
• Providing regular updates to managers on project status and representing the organization on business unit and/or company-wide projects.
• Managing both pre-sale and post-sale technical staff and support activities, including assessing how company products meet customer needs.
• Establishing and maintaining lines of communication with design engineering on product reliability considerations.
• Working with marketing and product managers to define new products and providing field insights back to these groups.
• Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What You’ll Need:

• BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years as a Design engineer and/or CAD engineer.
• Deep knowledge of custom/mixed-signal design flow and custom and analog layout design.
• Familiarity with customer design flowand core applications like SDL, Analog Placement and Routing, LVS/DRC, Extraction, and Co-design and Simulation Analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python).
• Excellent communication skills for effective customer interfacing.
