We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years managing technical programs where the stakes are real: a missed milestone means a customer's tape-out slips, a miscommunication means a silicon spin, and a poorly managed risk means millions of dollars and months of schedule lost. You know that program management in the IP world is not about status reports, it is about being the person who sees around corners, catches the integration issue before it becomes a blocker, and keeps a dozen moving parts aligned across time zones and organizations.

You are comfortable sitting in a room with a customer's SoC architect talking through their power budget and walking out with a clear plan for how your IP fits their roadmap. You do not wait for perfect information. You ask the right questions, synthesize what matters, and drive decisions that keep programs moving. You have managed enough programs to know when a schedule is real and when it is wishful thinking, and you are not afraid to escalate early.

You think in terms of outcomes, not activities. You care about whether the customer gets to tape-out on time with IP that works, not whether your slides look polished. At Synopsys, you will work with tier-one customers on programs that define the next generation of SoCs, and the IP portfolio you manage will end up in products that ship at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage end-to-end IP development programs for tier-one customers, from initial requirements through silicon bring-up, ensuring delivery against committed schedules and specifications
  • Serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact between customers and Synopsys cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, FAE, CAE, and R&D
  • Plan and drive program schedules across standard IP deliveries, custom IP development, and foundry process technology node transitions
  • Identify, track, and escalate technical and schedule risks, driving issues to resolution across internal development teams and external customer stakeholders
  • Coordinate IP integration activities with customer SoC design teams, ensuring successful acquisition, integration, and silicon validation
  • Translate customer SoC requirements into actionable development plans, working with R&D to align IP roadmaps with customer product timelines
  • Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders at multiple levels, from engineering teams to executive leadership

The Impact You Will Have

  • Enable customers to meet their SoC tape-out schedules by delivering IP on time and to specification, directly affecting their product launch timelines
  • Reduce customer integration risk by proactively identifying and resolving technical issues before they impact silicon bring-up
  • Expand Synopsys IP footprint in customer roadmaps by identifying opportunities for future SoC programs based on deep program engagement
  • Improve cross-functional execution by creating clarity across geographically distributed teams, reducing miscommunication and rework
  • Strengthen customer relationships through consistent delivery and technical credibility, turning program success into long-term partnerships
  • Influence internal IP development priorities by bringing customer voice and real-world integration challenges back to R&D teams
  • Shape how Synopsys executes complex, high-stakes programs by setting the standard for technical program management in the Silicon IP business

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience in program management or technical leadership roles
  • Proven track record managing programs in analog and digital SoC design environments, with demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical programs on schedule
  • Deep knowledge of IC manufacturing, process technology, design flow, and sign-off processes, with the ability to speak credibly with customer engineering teams
  • Understanding of memory and standard cell design, including how IP integrates into SoC design flows and what can go wrong during integration
  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical or program capacity, managing expectations and navigating complex stakeholder environments
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs with competing priorities, making clear trade-off decisions and keeping teams aligned
  • Strong technical communication skills, you can explain a complex integration issue to a customer architect and translate it into an actionable plan for internal R&D

Who You Are

  • You can walk into a customer meeting, listen to their SoC requirements, and come out with a clear understanding of what they actually need versus what they said they need
  • You know when to escalate and when to solve, and you do not let issues sit hoping they will resolve themselves
  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, you can start a program with incomplete requirements and drive the right conversations to fill in the gaps without stalling progress
  • You manage up and down effectively, keeping executives informed without over-communicating and keeping engineering teams focused without micromanaging
  • You have the technical depth to challenge an unrealistic schedule or a risky integration approach, and the credibility to make that challenge stick
  • You think about the customer's success as your success, and you take ownership of program outcomes even when the path to get there is messy

The Team You'll Be Part Of

Your recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process.

At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
