You Are

You have built a career at the intersection of deep SoC verification expertise and organizational leadership. You have closed coverage on complex multi-protocol designs and know that scaling verification across a services organization requires clear structure, strong leaders, and a strategy that holds when customer scope, timelines, and design complexity move at once. The difference between a verification plan that delivers and one that collapses three months before tapeout is usually visible early, and you are the kind of leader who sees it and acts before it becomes an escalation. You operate at two levels simultaneously. One day you are reviewing a coverage closure strategy for an automotive SoC with safety requirements your team has never seen before. The next you are restructuring team assignments because two customer engagements just expanded scope and you need to rebalance without dropping quality. You build leaders, not just projects. You know how to develop a senior engineer into someone who can own customer signoff, and you know when to step into a room yourself because the technical or relationship stakes require it. At Synopsys, you will lead verification for the System Solutions Group and shape how we deliver complex SoC services to customers who depend on us to get it right.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and grow a multi-team SoC verification organization delivering customer-facing services across automotive, aerospace, defense, and high-performance computing
• Define and drive SSG verification strategy, including methodology standards, signoff criteria, VIP and tool deployment, and reusable testbench patterns adopted across projects
• Own organizational planning including headcount, hiring, succession, performance management, and skill development to build scalable verification capability
• Partner with sales and account teams to scope opportunities, assess technical and resource risk, prioritize work against capacity, and align delivery with customer and business objectives
• Serve as executive-level technical authority on complex SoC verification challenges, escalations, and convergence across multi-protocol, multi-domain, and advanced-node designs
• Establish clear accountability across verification managers and technical leads, and drive adoption of Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and VIP based on customer project learnings
• Build and maintain executive customer relationships that enable long-term engagement growth and position Synopsys as the verification partner of choice for complex SoC programs

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of hands-on SoC, subsystem, or IP verification experience, including significant leadership scope
• Expert-level knowledge of UVM-based verification, coverage-driven closure, verification planning, and complex multi-domain debug across processor-based SoC architectures
• Proven experience leading large verification organizations or multi-project teams through planning, delivery, and customer signoff in a services or product development environment
• Deep working knowledge of protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, and AMBA interconnects, and hands-on proficiency with Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and VIP
• Demonstrated ability to build organizational structures with clear accountability, develop managers and technical leads, and partner with sales and senior customer stakeholders on scoping and escalations
• Experience with ARM-based SoC architectures, automotive functional safety verification, or emulation flows is a strong plus

• You make hard calls on resource allocation, project prioritization, and team structure when the right answer is not the easy one, and you explain the tradeoff clearly enough that people understand why
• You know when to delegate and when to step in yourself, whether that means reviewing a verification plan before it goes to a customer or sitting in an escalation call with an executive stakeholder

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will lead verification within the System Solutions Group (SSG), which delivers end-to-end SoC design and verification services to Synopsys customers across high-performance computing, automotive, aerospace, and defense. You will build and lead the verification organization and collaborate with SSG design and architecture peers, sales, application engineering, IP, and EDA teams to deliver customer engagements and scale Synopsys verification capability.
