You Are:

As a highly skilled EDA CAD Engineer, you possess a robust background in semiconductor design and are adept at supporting unified CAD environments. You excel in scripting, particularly with Perl, and can navigate and debug complex legacy code with ease. Your expertise spans across developing and maintaining CAD tools and methodologies, making you an invaluable asset to any engineering team. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation, you thrive in dynamic environments where your problem-solving skills can shine. You are committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest advancements in EDA tools and semiconductor technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Developing and supporting Synopsys EDA CAD environments and methodologies for IC Design.
  • Applying software engineering methods and theories to research and solve technical problems.
  • Defining and selecting new software engineering approaches to CAD environments.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and training materials for the CAD tools and methodologies.
  • Writing scripts in Perl, TCL, and UNIX Shell to automate and enhance CAD processes.
  • Utilizing Git & Perforce for tracking and collaboration within the team.

  • Enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of IC design processes through robust CAD environments.
  • Driving innovation by integrating the latest PDKs and FDKs into the CAD environment.
  • Improving team productivity with well-documented and user-friendly CAD tools.
  • Contributing to the overall success of Synopsys by ensuring high-quality design methodologies.
  • Streamlining design verification processes with effective scripting and automation.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment through version control and collaborative tools like Git & Perforce.

What You’ll Need:

  • MS degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of direct industry-related experience in semiconductor design.
  • Strong UNIX/Linux skills and experience.
  • Experience with Schematic, Layout, and spice simulation.
  • Proficiency in running and debugging DRC, LVS, and Extraction runs.
