You Are:

You are a highly skilled and motivated Analog Design Engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of high-speed analog integrated circuits. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with diverse teams to develop cutting-edge designs. Your expertise in transistor-level circuit design and familiarity with SerDes sub-circuits make you an invaluable asset to our team. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to clearly present and document your innovative solutions. With your strong foundation in CMOS design fundamentals and experience with tape-outs, you are adept at addressing architectural bottlenecks and enhancing circuit performance.

You are not only technically proficient but also possess a keen understanding of the challenges and nuances of analog IC design. Your ability to investigate and develop novel circuit architectures, coupled with your knowledge of design for reliability and layout effects, ensures that your designs are both robust and efficient. Your familiarity with various scripting languages and simulation tools allows you to streamline design and verification processes, contributing to the overall success of the project.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Reviewing and investigating SerDes standards to develop novel transceiver architectures and specifications.
  • Developing circuit architectures that address architectural bottlenecks, leading to enhancements in power, area, and performance.
  • Collaborating with project and department teams to streamline design and verification strategies.
  • Overseeing physical layout to minimize parasitic effects, device stress, and process variation.
  • Presenting and reviewing simulation data for internal project teams and customer reviews.
  • Documenting design features and test plans, and consulting on the electrical characterization of SerDes IP products.
  • Proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates and reviewing customer silicon data for design enhancements.

  • Contributing to the overall success of our R&D team by sharing your expertise and innovative solutions.

What You’ll Need:

  • PhD with 3+ years, or MSc with 5+ years of practical analog IC design experience.
  • Experience with SerDes sub-circuits, including receive equalizers, DAC-based transmitters, high-speed clocking circuits, and more.
  • In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and CMOS tape-outs.
  • Knowledge of SerDes standards, circuit and fabrication issues, and custom digital design.
  • Experience with schematic entry, physical layout, design verification tools, and SPICE simulators.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will join our Solution IP group in Boxborough, Massachusetts, working with a dynamic team of analog and mixed signal circuit designers from diverse backgrounds. Our team is dedicated to developing high-speed analog integrated circuits in the latest process nodes, using a combination of industry-standard and custom in-house tools supported by an experienced software/CAD team. Together, we strive to create innovative solutions that meet and exceed our customers' needs.
