This internship will last for a duration of 16 months for undergraduate (Bachelor’s) students. Duration can be flexible for Master’s students. Starting in May 2025 based in our Mississauga office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing firmware for PAM4 Serdes spanning PCIe and Ethernet protocols.
• Collaborating with various teams for firmware development and debugging.
• Verifying functional behavior through Verilog simulations.
• Implementing equalization algorithms and product features.
• Working on post-silicon bring-up to optimize hardware and algorithms.
• Using scripting languages to streamline development processes.

What You’ll Need:

• Proficiency in C and Verilog programming languages.
• Strong understanding of digital logic and firmware development.
• Experience with Verilog simulations.
• Scripting experience with Perl, Python, Bash, or Csh.
• Enrollment in relevant engineering program, include transcripts with your resume.

Our Serdes PHY IP includes an embedded processor to run firmware associated with today’s advanced technologies. Developing Serdes PHY Firmware involves implementing equalization algorithms, developing product features and customer-specific enhancements, and post-silicon bring-up and optimization.
