Job Description
Synopsys is actively seeking a dynamic, innovative, and skilled engineer to enrich our team. The prospective candidate has the opportunity to integrate into one of our specialized roles of Verification, Digital Design or Functional Safety Engineer, based in Portugal.

The successful candidate will work on MIPI product development for Displays (DSI) and cameras (CSI) according to ISO26262. These technologies are today used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, IoT, wearables, and automobiles.
As these designs are part of the Design Ware portfolio it presents the opportunity for the successful candidate to have their work used in many of the leading products that are developed by Synopsys customers. We develop best in class designs using the latest best practice in verification to ensure their quality and we need the right people to keep making this happen.
Main responsibilities:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Capability to produce adequate technical documentation.
- Willingness to learn new things.
- Capability to work as a team member and promote excellent working relationships.
Key Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IC design flows.
- Exposure to Verilog/VHDL.
- Exposure to System Verilog or VMM or OVM or UVM.
- Exposure to Unix, Python, Perl, and TCL scripting.
- Knowledge of MIPI or similar protocols would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in the development of electronics and/or ASICs especially for or within the automotive industry are beneficial.
- Experience with safety management, knowledge and practical experience with functional safety and ISO26262 are beneficial.
