Your experience spans the full lifecycle of safety-critical product development, from concept and requirements definition to analysis, implementation, and certification. You enjoy leading initiatives that impact global automotive safety and security standards, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to shape industry best practices. Your hands-on experience with real-world customer programs, deep understanding of E/E architectures, SoCs, and hardware security concepts, and your proficiency with tools like JAMA and Jira empower you to drive compliance and quality. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading ISO 26262 functional safety and SAE/ISO 21434 cybersecurity activities for Synopsys’ automotive security IP portfolio, including interface security and cryptographic cores.
- Defining and owning safety and cybersecurity concepts, safety manuals, assumptions of use, and requirements allocation at the IP level.
- Performing and reviewing safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, DFA) aligned to real-world silicon architectures and applications.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with OEMs, Tier-1s, semiconductor partners, and certification bodies to ensure compliance and successful certification of Synopsys Security IP.
- Maintaining, enhancing, and standardizing methods and templates to support efficient and robust functional safety and cybersecurity processes.
- Planning, tracking, and reporting project progress, facilitating reviews, and driving continuous improvement in compliance workflows.
- Engaging with global development teams and customers to ensure conformance to quality, safety, and cybersecurity requirements.

What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in automotive functional safety and cybersecurity engineering.
- Formal training and hands-on experience with ISO 26262 (ASIL B-D) and ISO/SAE 21434 standards.
- Proven track record of developing safety and/or cybersecurity work products used in real customer programs.
- Deep understanding of automotive E/E architectures, SoCs, interconnects, and hardware security principles.
- Experience with functional safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, DFA) and associated documentation.
- Proficiency in English and experience with industry-standard tools such as JAMA and Jira.
- Working knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 is advantageous.
