We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst, to join our growing Operations team. This role will focus on supporting and evolving internally developed business applications that enable operational and financial excellence across the business.

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will play a diverse and influential role, partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, support prioritization, and collaborate with IT and development teams to deliver practical, high-quality solutions. This role is critical to ensuring our enterprise applications meet customer needs, while new capabilities and improvements are delivered on time and within scope.

As a member of the Business and Product Operations team, you will help drive business efficiency through the development of effective processes, tools, reporting, and system capabilities. You will contribute to improving how the organization structures, analyzes, and acts on information in support of complex business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather detailed requirements, and translate them into clear user stories and functional specifications.
  • Partner with IT and development teams to ensure requirements are well-defined, actionable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Help prioritize features, enhancements, and fixes based on business goals, user feedback, and operational impact.
  • Actively contribute to Agile delivery cycles, including planning, clarification, review, and follow-up activities.
  • Support the release of new functionality through configuration, testing, data preparation, UAT coordination, and post-release support.
  • Analyze processes,identifyimprovement opportunities, and recommend scalablesystemand workflow enhancements.
  • Create andmaintainkey project and system documentation, including requirement documents, process descriptions, user guidance, and release communications.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and enablement sessions to support user adoption of new features and process changes.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business users and technical teams, helping ensure effective communication and successful solution delivery.

What You’ll Need:

  • Significant practical experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Project/Program Management, and/or IT solution delivery, ideally in support of enterprise business applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, ora relatedfield preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, define scope, and translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams on system enhancements, releases, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience developing supporting documentation and delivering training to business users and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Working knowledge of PPM (Clarity, Planview, etc.), ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and/or CRM(SalesForce, etc.) Tools:Confluence, Miro, and Jira experience is preferred.

You will join the Synopsys IPG Business Operations department, an innovative and expanding team focused on system sustainment and enhancement. The Business Management team is dedicated to improving system usability and evolving infrastructure for scalability. Together, you will collaborate across functions and geographies to drive operational excellence and enable the continued growth and success of Synopsys.

This position could be perfomed in Porto or Lisbon.
