We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You are the person teams call when their tools need to work reliably, and their data needs to tell a story that actually drives action. You have spent years making requirements management platforms like Jama Connect or IBM DOORS deliver for real engineering teams, not just checking boxes but structuring workflows and traceability models that help people do their jobs. When you see a dashboard, you immediately think about what’s missing and how you’d model the data for clarity, not complexity. You’re comfortable jumping between REST APIs, Python scripts, and Power BI DAX formulas, and you know how to wrangle messy CSVs or Snowflake exports into something that helps teams move. You thrive on untangling integration puzzles and automating the tedious stuff so your colleagues can focus on real engineering. Working with stakeholders doesn’t drain you—it sharpens your ability to translate their needs into tool improvements, clear visualizations, and better decisions. You see process as leverage, not red tape, and you like being the person who quietly makes everything run smoother.
What You'll Be Doing
- Administer, support, and expand requirements management tools like Jama Connect (preferred) or IBM DOORS, ensuring uptime, adoption, and effective usage across engineering teams
- Design, implement, and refine tool structures—workflows, traceability, item types, attributes, dashboards, and reporting—so teams have what they need to build and ship with confidence
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot customizations and integrations using REST APIs, Python, HTML, and related technologies to connect platforms and automate routine work
- Create, optimize, and support Power BI dashboards and reports that turn requirements and process data into actionable insights for technical and business audiences
- Analyze structured and semi-structured data from files (CSV, Excel, Snowflake), building models and visualizations that reveal trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities
- Deliver ad hoc analyses and data mining projects to support process improvement and compliance tracking
- Train engineers, process owners, and end users on best practices, workflows, and tool adoption; provide ongoing support and documentation
What You'll Need
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with requirements management tool administration (Jama Connect preferred, IBM DOORS, or similar)
- Proven expertise designing, configuring, and maintaining tool architectures: workflows, traceability models, attributes, dashboards, and reporting
- Experience building and supporting tool integrations and customizations using REST APIs, Python, HTML, or similar
- Advanced skills with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including report and dashboard creation, DAX calculations, and data modeling
- Strong analytical skills working with structured and semi-structured data (CSV, Excel, Snowflake)
- Experience collaborating directly with technical and process-focused stakeholders to translate needs into tool and data solutions
- Understanding of requirements engineering concepts and familiarity with standards like ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148 is a plus
- Experience with ETL/data pipelines, data migration, or tool-to-tool synchronization is a plus
- GitLab experience for version control is a plus
The Impact You Will Have
- Engineering teams will move faster because their requirements management tools actually fit the way they work, not the other way around
- Dashboards and reports you build will put real-time, meaningful data in leaders’ hands, enabling smarter decisions and more effective process improvements
- Integration and automation work will eliminate manual steps, reduce errors, and free up your colleagues to focus on design and development
- Data analysis and ad hoc reporting will shine a light on what’s working (and what’s not), driving measurable improvements in process compliance and delivery
- Your training and support will raise the technical bar for everyone using these platforms, increasing adoption and reducing tool friction
- Well-structured requirements and traceability models will strengthen the team’s ability to meet industry standards and customer audits
- Your presence will mean fewer tool headaches, less wasted time, and more focus on engineering the next generation of Synopsys IP
Who You Are
- You spot process gaps and tool pain points before they become project delays, and you fix them at the root
- You can walk an engineer through a tricky workflow update or a VP through a dashboard—adapting your language to the audience without losing the technical detail
- You value clean, maintainable configurations and well-documented automations, not just quick fixes
- You dig into messy data and emerge with insights that drive action, not just pretty charts
- You follow up when things break, own the issue, and don’t stop until it’s working for everyone
- You enjoy collaborating across teams, building trust by delivering solutions that make colleagues’ lives easier
