As a DDRSilicon Validation Engineer working in a lab environment, you will be responsible for product qualification and compliance to supported standards/specifications. You will join a supportive, multi-person engineering team engaged in these activities across Synopsys’ DDR and HBM PHY development projects.We are looking for an engineer with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the team.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Work with a cross functional design team of analog designers, systems designers, application engineers, firmware engineers, and customers to resolve problems and demonstrate product performance.
  • Review and explain circuit behavior and circuit limitations in a testing and characterization environment.
  • Define test requirements and methodologies to validate silicon under test against target specifications.
  • Running characterization tests and creating test reports.
  • Debugging of electronic circuits; investigating product nonconformance.
  • Feedback ideas for improvement to reports and silicon features
  • Assist with lab equipment selection and maintenance


Key Requirements: 

  • A BS degree in electrical or electronics engineering or in an appropriate related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of direct industry experience in a lab environment
  • Strong analog IC circuit understanding
  • Software programming experience (python, bash)
  • Debugging skills (hardware and software)


Other assets include:   

  • PCB design knowledge
  • Data investigation, data mining
  • Report generation
  • Equipment automation
  • Version control system such as Git
  • Experience working with electronic measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, Bit Error Rate testers
